Meet the LHM Team

Minaz Rahemtulla

Managing Director

Minaz is a veteran of the Hospitality Industry.  With more than 30 years of experience in the industry, Minaz has participated in or acted as a principal in  numerous developments and acquisitions of various sizes. Areas of expertise include due diligence, structuring, brand selection and negotiation as well as financing, renovations, new construction, and third-party management.

Chad Hope

Chief Executive Officer

Chad has spent nearly 25 years in the hospitality industry and has worked virtually every position in a hotel. Before joining LHM, he spent 20 years in some of the industry's largest, most well renowned corporate management companies. He held multiple General Manager positions at large hotels before taking on roles as Regional Director of Operations, Vice President of Operations, President and now Chief Executive Officer.

 

His passion and expertise for the industry and hotel operations have allowed him to manage hotels all over Canada under multiple brands, including Hilton, Holiday Inn, Radisson, Wyndham and Choice. Chad is also a long-standing Director of the Ontario Hotel and Restaurant Association and has held seats on multiple brand and industry advisory boards.

Rose Yu-Virji

Executive Vice President

Rose's experience in real estate and hotel property management is extensive. Her Commerce degree from the University of Toronto, along with her previous experience underwriting investment properties, enables her to offer valuable advice to institutions and private investors on financing and developing real estate. As part of her responsibilities, Rose is responsible for managing all aspects of hotel construction, planning, and development on a day-to-day basis.

 

As an integral member of the LHM Canada team, she takes responsibility for overseeing each and every aspect of a project's budget from start to finish, while following industry best practices. In order to enhance the brand and value of every property she oversees, she works closely with both the onsite and in-house teams. It is Rose's ultimate goal to create luxury hotels that provide their owners with an ROI that will surpass their expectations and will allow them to feel secure in the knowledge that their investment is well-constructed.

 

Rose's strengths are business and strategic planning, efficient organizational skills and robust communications and negotiation abilities.


When not creating exceptional properties and guest experiences for clients, Rose enjoys spending time with her family, golfing with friends, playing with her dog, Sandler, a fiercely independent fur-baby and binge-watching crime series on Netflix.

Vanessa Barbieri Priolo

Regional Director of Sales

Vanessa brings over 20 years of hospitality experience working in various roles both on and off property.  Vanessa began her career at the Holiday Inn Toronto Yorkdale, where she spent over 10 years progressing her experience from the front desk to the catering & sales department.  This diverse range of experience led her to IHG Hotels & Resorts in 2009, where she further grew her career expertise in group, corporate and government sales.

 

Vanessa’s passion and commitment comes from a strong energy that she has built over the years on both a professional and personal level. She is known to face fear of the unknown head on and to accept the challenge for feat and success.

 

Vanessa also applies all of these qualities in her personal life where she spends time in Health & Wellness as a Certified Lagree Instructor, Spin Instructor and working as a Personal Trainer to help clients set new goals, face challenges and becoming a better, stronger version of themselves.

Mark Perry

Regional Director of Operational Support

With over 25 years in hospitality, Mark has developed a leadership style rooted in engagement, collaboration, and communication.  This focus allows his team to enjoy industry leading associate satisfaction and provide consistently exceptional guest experiences resulting in top-tier revenue indexes and overall profitability for property ownership.

 

Mark has held the role of General Manager with management companies such as Atlific Hotels & Resorts and Crescent Hotels & Resorts, as well as large and small ownership groups such as Royal Host, Sandman Hotels, and more.  This diverse experience has cultivated a dynamic approach to strategies that deliver on a property’s unique financial goals.  Mark has opened multiple properties as part of his work with Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) under the Staybridge Suites extended stay brand and has spent the last 15 years of his career focused on this growing market segment.

 

When he is not happily engrossed in his work, Mark enjoys spending his time travelling to warmer destinations, sampling local cuisine, and of course at home embarrassing his teenage son.
